We have added a Ailuronyx Care sheet to our site to hopefully help out any other people who are interested in obtaining this Awsome species of gecko! We hope our female is gravid and we should have a new female in a couple weeks!
2-23-07:
Our Ailuronyx have been together for sometime now. The
female has some bite marks on her neck, and ive heard lots of noise in
their cage at night. So hopefully they did the deed and well see some
eggs soon!
2-6-07:Last night we stuck out pair of
Ailuronyx seychellensis together
for the first time. They seemed to be doing fine. When breeding, they
are extremely aggressive twords each other. The female was especially
mean to the male by attacking him and chasing him. They made lots of
chirping like sounds that reminded me of what a raccoon sounds like. I
am hoping to see some eggs relatively soon!We will keep you all updated
with their progress.
On another note.
We are updating our site with new pictures and some other things.Keep an eye out too see how it turns out!
1-4-07 :
We recived a nice adult pair of
Ailuronyx seychellensis
that we hope to breed this year. They are a little over 2 years old.
This species of gecko comes from the Seychelle islands which are north
of Madagascar. These geckos are large and robust. They push 11 inches and
are mainly insectivors. Not much is known about this species. I hope I
can provide a good care sheet with in a years or two.
